Peace building and Conflict Prevention Unit focuses on reducing or ending violent conflict and promoting a culture of peace among youth. A few examples, amongst many, of initiatives that are carried out by the unit under its various programs include intergenerational dialogues, bias-reduction education, peer/street mediation trainings, human rights trainings and peace soccer tournaments.  The unit aims at transforming relationships by promoting mutual understanding amongst key sectors and actors at all levels. The unit is mainly shaped by the following three key objectives;

• To magnify You-RED peacebuilding actionto truly transform sustaining peace among youth in the country; 
• To include the needs, viewpoints, and expertise of local peacebuilders from diverse social backgrounds with a specific focus on youth peacebuilders; 
• To apply and promote a conflict-sensitive and peacebuilding approach to leadership-related risks, post-election violence and other emerging threats.
